Pulsing Heart

I stand, chained and damned
Curses upon me like a battling ram

Demons circle around me near and deep
Been many years since I had any sleep

And this is where I cry
Not wanting to live, not wanting to die

God come to me, find me as another son
Hold me, embrace me, let me be the one

Naked, I am a man of fear
Forsaken, forgotten, my forgiveness is in my tears

Each beat of life marrys my pulsing heart
Is this the end, or where I restart

Sleepless nights and days full of fear, anxiety and sense of total abandonment. God alone can comfort ! An ardent plea for His intervention. A poignant write dear poet friend !

gosh this is very sad and deep, Robert. Sounds like a horrible place to be, spiritually speaking. I wonder what inspired this one. Is it possibly Hellboy??(still need to research that character). Sorry I have not been commenting all week. Trying to catch up right now.

I softened the poem a little. Yeah Hellboy still only has two entries. It's a tough one!

It’s where we restart! Deep write, Robert. Abuse, abandonment, fears, we must transcend all.
