Puckered Lips

i still taste the poison lingered from your lips bitterness of venomous lies through death's astringent kiss September 20, 2019 Arbitrium Divisa 4 Poetry Contest Sponsored by Gregory R Barden Taken from my poem, a bounce upon the ground written 9/04/2019

I guess a kiss is not a kiss but I happily say, "Play it again, Sandy" :) A wonderful choice of a verse to revisit for this contest. Though dark and a bit angry, the message is clear and the phrases amazing. I can see this one at the top of the winners list.

lol...not all kisses are wonderful...Thank you my friend. I don't have many poems that have 4 lines to make an impact, mine are all shorter lines, the way my poems usually land, and though many can stand alone, the impact factor isn't in them :) hugs

Puckered lips usually denote lovely and sensual body language, Sandra; in this case it is certainly the opposite! Very good choice for the contest. Good luck. Hugs // paul

Thank you Paul, hard to find ones from my poems that would be long enough to make an impact as my lines are always penned short! Hugs :)

thank you my friend, many of my poems are short lines so it makes it hard to pick one with long enough lines to make an impact :) hugs

I just love seeing the little verses folks pull from longer poems for Greg's challenges with this form. You chose well, Sandy.

Sandra, Those are serious lips. I just have to say I know what I like even when I don't like what I know. Well done kiss, indeed. Sandra. -Richard

A poetic taste of love dying, Sandra. Well expressed w/poignant brevity. You are a talented poetess, dear. No doubt about that. Platinum level poetry! Love and more love always.

Well penned, Sandra. I always said... give a man enough rope to hang himself. He eventually show his true colors.
