Public Places
Alone, yet in a zone,
consumed by it all.
People forget,
as if,
they are human at all.
Voices, making choices,
spoken without thought.
People regret,
saying or displaying,
they are human at all.
Publicly, they whisper.
As if the place would forget.
Privately, they pray,
for redemption,
being human with faults.
