Ps Stalker Lament

The box was small, quarter inch tall,
	why it was just so tiny!;
to see her face, on poet’s place,
	don’t want to seem too whiny;
there was a smile, in photo file,
	but view was not define-y,
I’d like "enlarge," in rant I charge,
	to see her looks more finely!

[Herewith my humorous response to someone talking about their stalker issues on PS, which apparently is more common than I thought. It was originally a bit more ribald, but decided to avoid getting flamed. Someone should post a "Against My Stalker" contest.]

This made me smile. I have a few friends here that change their profile pictures on a regular basis. On put up a pic that I couldn't even tell what it was, and then realized it was the same one that I'd seen before in a Facebook post. Strangely enough Dave did not use his picture but sometimes the stalking is based on content rather than looks.

I haven't had a stalker, but I was inspired by comments of others.

Oh ..wanting to see someone's face closer cuz she was pretty isnt a harmful stalking... Harmful stalking is the obsessive kind..when one makes someone else's life a hell following his/her every move..Enjoyed reading yr poem..Charma

Yes, I will admit a slight pique that I enjoy seeing what people look like, especially ones I find attractive, and on her the pictures are limiting. But I thought I would conflate it into a humorous (hopefully) ditty on stalking, after one poet here said she had been harassed for quite a while. Not by me! :)

Sadly Lyric Man Dave was a victim of stalking here and he removed all his poetry from the site - this has saddened so many people:-( hugs jan xx

I take stalking, especially when it is injurious and potentially dangerous, very seriously, but in the realm of a poetry site it just seemed silly, so this ditty popped into my mind. I might be more angry if I were the victim, however; I hope no one takes offense.
