Providence

Robots are modern day cousins of human beings
For they share between them common bindings
Both are programmed in a way to carryout tasks
That is assigned by their respective programmer.

It is providence that schedules all human events
And man performs strictly according to the chart
That is designed and planned for each individual
With no scope for escape from the path charted.

It is providence that propels humans for action
And determines to bequeath success or failure
A person succeeds when it shines upon on him
And suffers, defeat and shame, when it frowns.

In fact the possibilities are very diverse but real
Those depend on planetary combinations above
Which the programmer might have given thought
And then authorize the destiny of talking robots.

Thus humans are but utterly helpless pawns
Moving on the chequered chess-board of life
Occupying the squares according the program
Monitored by the unseen hand of providence.

Can feel the futility in your poem. Well written. The God of the Bible gives us hope for a wonderful future! If you wish, read Revelation 21:4.
