Protect Our Women

12 Years ago, On the first day, Of the16 day’s campaign. My life was nearly ending. By the hand of a brutal man. God saved me. I am grateful. Having more time with my kids. Not all women are privileged. It’s that time of the year again, To campaign. Against women and child abuse. Only 16 days for women to have rights. To speak up. This is not enough. What about all the other days of the year? We have to live in fear. Ironically, during these days. More women are kill or rape. Narcissistic men do their deed. With a bullet or knife, End a woman’s life. Rape victims are too scared, To speak out. Afraid to get labelled. What will the prosecutor or media say? “Her skirt was too short, Her body reveals too much. The courses of his lust.” I like to ask these men, Do you have a mum, Sister, wife or daughter at home? Will it be ok if, They got kill or rape?
