Prospective Poetic Forms

Not long after I signed up on this site,
thought trying other forms might be alright.
“Boy O Boy” have I become scared,
ABC’s, Rhymes are where I’ve fared.

Monoku, Haiku and Senryu to name a few,
I need time to try any more than MY TWO.
I’ve lost more than a few poems due haste,
still getting hung up with my cut and paste!

B-in-Law says, “poetry must rhyme to be understood
but that’s what they taught him down in Elwood.
So to Monoku, Senryu and lest we forget Haiku,
I’m still stuck on Lennon’s “Coo Coo Ca-Choo!”
