Prose

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Prose
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: September 2010

It's not prose,
nor is it
a nursery rhyme,

or
verses
like
roses are red
and
violets are blue -

It's a writer
putting  words
down on paper,

not knowing
where  it's
going to go -

But one things
for sure,
it's not prose -

Thoughts
keep speaking
in my head;

I keep writing
what's being
said -

Though
the pencil
scribbles it
on paper,

taking off
to many
sad, happy
and
wonderful
places,

much like
a trumpet player,
who
add lib's a music
script,

 in the middle
of a song,
or
sound checks,

testing
a singers voice
for
highs and lows -

That's how
a poem goes -

But
one things
for sure,
It's not prose -
