Notes About The Poem

Prophecy

Prophecy

When the husky sound of the horns
Resounds on the edge of the universe,
The Lamp will fight again
And don his crown of thorns.

For the last devout effort,
For the last holy sacrifice,
For the last bitter thirst,
It will be time to dive into Gehenna.

Swimming through laments and pain,
To redeem the condemned souls,
The forsaken, the pariahs, He will face
The demon army in single combat.

The defeated angels will neither be slain
Nor kneel this time but will light up
To extinguish
The infernal furnace forever.
