Proms and Graduations Cancelled

Proms are cancelled all over the world
Graduations? Not this year
I feel so sorry for the seniors

Both kinds of Seniors
The oldsters because they are vulnerable
The young ones because so many of their dreams are cancelled

No prom
No graduation
No graduation party

Thanks to the Corona Virus 
School is online until further notice
A month ago seniors were trying on shoes for prom

Now they are online trying to concentrate on school
Online trying to speak with their friends
Online trying not to think about prom or graduation

Ilene Bauer March 24, 2020 at 3:54 PM it's so hard to think about all the cancellations going on in every aspect of life right now. so much disappointment! i know those things take a back seat to the sick and dying people, but my heart breaks for all of those missing out on these events. you've said it so well, caren... Caren Krutsinger March 24, 2020 at 4:19 PM It must be heartbreaking after those students have put in so many years and hard work into the school setting, hoping to reap the rewards. I know a college senior who is devastated she must finish her coursework on line.

Jan Allison March 24, 2020 at 9:34 AM its so difficult especially for the youngsters Caren but far better for these things to be cancelled or put on hold rather than risk the virus spreading even more quickly. our island is basically on lock down only residents can come back here then they have to self isolate for 14 days. we now have 20 cases - all mild none in hospital ... yet:-( hugs Jan xx Caren Krutsinger March 24, 2020 at 4:20 PM That is so sad. They say if you get a sore throat drink warm water. It will get rid of the clogging phlegm that kills.
