Promising Sky

An enormous full moon
Filters through the tree limbs
There is no feeling of gloom
Even though darkness swims

Stars twinkle with delight
Amid the cloudless sky
There is no need for fright
A clear pathway is nigh

No photograph could reflect
The splendor of this moment
With only the night to connect
My heart with the sky’s movement	

Moon and stars remind me why
I so very much love the sky
