Promises of the Heart

they took the time to share their thoughts, all judgements cast aside,
god gave them wisdom to look past their faults, for what matters is what lies inside,
it's what drew their hearts together, in beauty they found each other,
and when they realized god placed something genuine there, they knew there would never
be another,
he touched her heart in so many ways, she couldn't imagine her life without him in it,
she never met a man with such affection and love, overwhelmed by his giving spirit,
she noticed his stare and the look in his eyes, she felt this connection within,
everynight before she went to sleep, she knelt down to pray for him,
she knew one day god would bless her, with this wonderful man by her side,
so she placed this love at the foot of the cross, and out of pure happiness, she cried,
god spoke to her heart, and filled her spirit, and revealed to her he was the one,
for she knew this love was meant to be, before it had even begun,
in spring it sprang into being,
in fall she fell down on her knees,
to thank god for the blessings he bestowed on her life, that slowly came to be,
her empty heart is full once again, she pictured this for her future,
for the bride now entering the house of the lord, she knew you picked him for her,
she promises with all of her heart, she made a covenent before the lord,
she can't wait to share her spirit with this man, all her feelings that were locked up and
stored,
god kept them stored away, to come out at just the right time,
for what now was mine belongs to you, and what's yours can now be mine,
they share one heart, intertwined as one, made and molded by god's hand,
and they will walk together as one body and one spirit until the very end.
