Promises Forsaken

She stood there starring at the coffin,
Like she stood first when she was taken.

“Are you really gone” she murmured…
Waiting for the response which never returned,
Yet the heart pounding with so much hope...

The promises that were spoken
So easy to be forsaken!
For with hope and trust she swore
To happiness, life and pain she gave her roar!

Is it God or human kinds to be blamed?
That a woman who tried so hard stands now left in vain

Her heart pounded within as she saw him be closed,
She forgot the world and the truth she opposed!
He was gone forever but heart refused to believe;
Come back she mourned with all the grief...

Future unexplained without direction;
Blankness filled, Hope unspoken!
“Can you hear me?” She screams on top of her voice!
For loneliness it is without choice…

Because she loved him through the pain and suffering
He left her stand alone for a new beginning!
