Promises

Please don’t say “I promise” - This is to people everywhere,
Because as soon as we say the word, we break it then and there.

Hi Sneha...managed to locate a poem of yours which I had not read before! Just a couplet, but it makes a lot of sense. Too many promises are broken, but luckily, to be fair, there are also those that are not. ~ All the best. // paul

There is an old saying that comes to mind "promises are made to be broken"...I think the word "promise" is overused and has lost it's true meaning....Happy Holidays to you and your family.....hugs Tim

hmmm, I really like this, but there are exceptions to everything , dearie. think of all those who promised to stick by their mates til death do them part. That number is not as great today as many years ago, but it still exists!
