Promises

Promises, Promises
By Kevin Robey

Come on over my friend
While we still have time
Where battle scars end
Is where we will climb

It’s not too late
We’re not too old
Let anchors deflate
The lies we have told

We’ll settle down here
It’s much safer now
No monsters to fear
These dreams we allow

It’s ok to breathe my friend
No demons around this town
Life starts just around the bend
Promises that’ll never let you down

   Promises…

      promises…

Kevin This is an interesting and intriguing write that captivated me from beginning to end. Some honest and powerful words.
