Promise of the Future
The uncertainties of days
Has trigerred my unwanted desire
To depart from your caring home
Bound to explore the unknown
And, I left you in tears
In search of the promise of the future
Has sailed me to the seven seas of fears
Finally, brought me to Homer's land
By a stranger in a fancy turban
As I run for the grace, in style
Offered by the shadow of an olive tree
A temporary shelter of peace, for free
A humble place, safe from the bomb
Undesirable things, has yet to come
Courageously, I fight, lest I fall
Today, among you, I stand tall
Not only, had I become hero
But still, I do the fandango
For your love, has restored my pride!
