Promise of My Love
In the presence of God you confessed your undying love to me ,
You made an oath to yourself ,me and God,
That you will stand by my side through the good and the bad,
You will be there for me whether I am sick or healthy,
You pledged that no matter what you will love me,
To be there for me when I am sad,
To share my joys ,
To understand me even in our differences.
I made a promise to you from my heart,
That everything I have and feel in my own way,
Was meant for you forever and always,
That day I declared to evolve with you,
Through any changes that we may have to undertake,
To keep us alive and electrified.
When the angels took you away on that warm summer's day,
I remembered when I told you,
That I was transparent as glass ,
And you could have seen the depths of my soul,
My innermost fears,hopes,dreams and secrets,
And I whispered in yours ears on your dying bed,
That no matter where I am I will always Love you ,
From the first day I met you until the day I died,
As I tears flowed from my eyes I felt your life,
Being taken away and a part of me felt empty.
