Prom
This memory is fleeting and seems so far away
But always it is with me to forever stay
My prince in the form of a geek dressed in black
Makes me smile at the thought of you every time I look back
The room filled rich with the tuning of the band
My joy I could not contain as I grasped your familiar hand
The rhythm of the music matched the beat of my heart
Your warmth so close, wishing to never be pulled apart
Now as I think and look to the stars above
That was the night we were truly in love
