Projecting Myself a New One

I project myself a new one depending upon who I am with I can be a listener or an annoying interrupter. I can be charming, or mean to the point of idiocy. I project my persona ahead, testing the waters, to see how much they can take, to figure out what I can stand, and what we can both tolerate at this second projecting is the only way to arrive.

Thank you Eve. I see you stayed up late again last night. We night owls are so many on this site! Love thinking of you dreaming up poems late at night, like I do.

It is such an awkward dance when meeting someone new, to see what flows and what is met with resistance-

It used to be so much fun but I was naive. Wait, I am still naive and it is still fun.

I enjoyed this one, and that last line has a saucy kind of attitude to it! Nicely done!! ;)

I truly understood Marilyn Monroe’s biography when she explained how she projected her persona.
