Progression

Like a leaf that buds in spring
Then transforms to a leaf of green
During fall turns color and slowly wilts
Falling to the ground to decay

Like a new book we turn each page
Until a chapter is done
In life we have many chapters
We create a story as it unfolds

Like the leaf at end of the season
It progresses through stages
Bud to leaf to colored leaf to decay
Finally finding its resting place

When all the pages are turned
And the story is finally done
Our chapters have been written
We bid farewell as our book is closed.

This comes to my mind. Ashes ashes we all fall down. Yes, in the fall of MY life and hoping for the snow to be kept at bay as long as possible! Love this, dearie. SEe you later.
