PROGRAMMED FOR RELIEF

Up in the morning
Make your bed
Get your breakfast
Wash the dishes
Don't forget what you read
Take the test
Do your best...but it better be best
Friday is near
...Saturday cartoons

Weekends, holidays
Special occasions
The summer
Days where we can...
Snap, peel, core
Can...jars that never feed
Run with neighbors
Til dark takes the sky
...Sunday roast

Adulthood took childhood
But you wouldn't know
The body changed
But the rhythm is the same
Different playground
But we know the game
Submit, comply, yield
Never go against
The fence
...World's end
