Progeny

Some years ago,
having more than I needed
and time on my hands,
I deposited funds from
one side of the country
to the other.
Private, closet sized rooms,
sanitized for my protection,
visual stimulations upon request.
Today my progeny are everywhere,
and not once in all those years
so much as a father's day card
from the ungrateful little rug-rats.

This really made me smile J. Many of those little rug rats don't even know who you are. In fact their moms probably don't either. Loved this. God Bless, JB

Hello Judy, thanks for reading. I’m guessing for the most part no one knows anything but now that some states allow for child support from donors these rules may be starting to relax. John

Well, maybe they don't understand the process of 'see-men,' those little rug-rats. What can we say, anyway?! Send 'em all Valentines. Kill 'em with kindness. :) gw

Hey Gershon, rain coming soon here. Chicago...great town. I’m originally from N.W. Indiana and loved going to the museums, aquarium, art institute and such. Winter can be a bit of a...well, you know. Have a good one. John

Since you asked -- It's windy, snowy, cold as H, and altogether just another Day in Paradise. Hope things are just zippity-doo-dah out your way, John. ~ gw

Howdy Gershon, thanks for reading. V-Day cards...never thought of that. How’s everything in the Windy City? John

This one I am not quite sure I got, but it sure was an interesting read. Love the line about ungrateful rug rats!

Thanks for reading and commenting Andrea, it is always appreciated. Regarding the poem it is loosely based on a man who was sued for child support after using a sperm bank. My sense of humor can be a little strange. John
