Procrastination--High School

Two days before the test I sat enthralled;
My novel was for pleasure, not the test.
I had two days, why should I study yet?
With just three chapters left, I’d read the rest.
I put it off, and read the next day too,
Avoiding thoughts that said it was not right.
But when I went to school next day I found
I failed because of how I’d spent my night.
The next test came, and I was well prepared;
I did not read, instead I studied well.
I made it my priority to learn,
And when I did, I found I could excel.
Work hard, prioritize, and see it through,
Be diligent in everything you do.

I must get my daughter to read this. She's that annoying student that crams it all in at the last minute and passes with flying colours. One day she won't be so lucky.
