Pro Patria

As the glory cloud of the Lord fell upon them they marched off to war. In single file their hearts beating as one. With woolen suits and their boots shined for war, they were united in their purpose; devoted in their cause. The Calvary escorted the formations of men. Baby gently plants a kiss on his papa's upper lip. His other daughter drying her tears with her grandfather's handkerchief. Souls converging for the betterment of mankind. The angels lead the battle-cry. Triumphant shouts as they march on to victory. The battle has been won even before the first bullet is released. As humanity groans for justice, victory is theirs! Their bosoms sing enchanted melodies. Victory is theirs as they proudly lay down their lives for all humanity. The angels lead the chorus. The heartstrings of the soldiers are plucked. Charging with their hearts towards the enemy. Gwendolen Rix 10-20-14 Written from the inside steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol. A most spectacular piece of art!
