Privet Hedge

Down where the Privet Hedge blossoms
And the burgundy running rose
We're not living in high cotton

Down where the Privet Hedge blossoms
There are many wild O'Possums
Secrets hidden in closets undisclosed

Down where the Privet Hedge Blossoms
And the burgundy running rose

this one 'grew' on me the more I read it (a bit like a rose!) and there is a hint of intrigue and mystery within the lines, indeed something slightly unsettling...I always like a poem that makes me think and leaves me with questions - congrats on your win in my contest :)
