Private Restaurant

Chickadees landing

   to feast on assorted seeds

      ... dinner is served

bird seed is set out

   to fill their empty bellies

      .... a winter cafe

feathered friends gather

   to enjoy lunch together

     ... private restaurant

We have lots of nuts and nibbles out for the little birds in our garden. We always put them in places where the bigger birds can't get at them. Lovely poem Francine....:)

It's so sweet of you to provide a "private restaurant" for the chickadees, Francine. If you ever run out of seed, ask Dane Ann how she manages to feed a huge flock. This is so uplifting! I saw your response to my question on your blog and all I can say now is, "You asked for it." Your weird friend will share secrets shortly. Working on it now! Love, Carolyn

Yes. Our back yard and our front porch are restaurants. Trouble is the stray cats can't read the "Private- No trespassing? sign. Enjoyed mucho. Love, daver

Beautiful, Francine! My feeder has been overrun with Purple finches this year. Last year it was the Cardinals. What great joy can be had for helping out those little guys.
