Prison Walls

These prison walls that hold me here I've built with my own hands My heart is torn in tiny pieces like confetti, strewn from place to place Scarred and silent these walls hold strong, not letting you in or me out Nothing you do can make them fall, for my pain stands guard waiting for the next attack My wounds never heal, like a trophy on display, they shine to remind me of a love now lost and how high the cost These prison walls that hold me here are built with the stains of dying love These hollow walls are filled with pain That I will never escape
