Prison of the Mind

Prison Of The Mind

Trapped in prison in your mind
White walls no one can see
Bars that no one can understand
Nothing can make you smile
Children try to make you smile but you just can’t
It just isn’t possible anymore
You forgot what happiness is or can be
Your world is so tightly restricted
You no longer do what you like to do
The ambition is long gone
Even talking is hard to do
You sit and silently suffer in your cell
Thoughts come on how to end the pain
A razor blade, a gun or hanging from a beam
They all sound good
Then a thought comes of your children
They are so innocent and happy
What would they be like if you were gone?
The thought of hearing them cry
Those beautiful eyes looking up at you
It is enough for you to stop the thoughts
You locked the door to the prison of your mind
And you continue to suffer

One has felt those Walls but life comes bursting through! ALIVE! Oh how I see the beautiful eyes looking up at me!
