Prison Hanging Conundrums
Given that i have never been to jail
Been locked up or spent any time
in a cell be that even overnight
So this poem i write is solely
based on logic or endless
television crime based shows
But the other night deep in
discussion with me old mum
the Epstein suicide case came up
Now when you are processed
and taken in to to custody and
placed in a holding cell on 24 hour suicide watch
They confiscate any means of
said person being able to use
anything as a form that enables
hanging oneself
Again now if you indeed wish to
hang oneself and commit suicide
by means of hanging as so many
prisoners do
Surely you then need 1 of 2 thing's
1 something to hang yourself with
2 something to hang yourself from
And if they took everything and left
you with nothing to hang yourself with
And put you in a cell with nothing to
hang yourself from
How on earth can anyone hang
themselves in the 1st place
Or am i being obtuse
Or is Redemption doled out
on the concourse by a jury of
one's peers
As even criminals know right
from wrong have standard
and a code of conduct
And do not wish to live nor reside
beside
Such twisted deviants
Who even the devil won't miss
or fails to acknowledge
