Priorities

Swimming alone way out to sea
The only thing known is that it’s only me
Reaching and slipping and finally going under
Only to emerge to the crash of thunder

Up and down I am forced to go
Only my frown I am willing to show
And as the waves wash over my face
My air becomes so hard to replace

But now I have a goal so clearly in sight
Energizing my soul and making skies bright
He shares my name but we are so different
My life was so lame before he was sent

So as he inspires me, I hope that he’ll see
Nothing in life is free except when your with daddy
Don't be like me, but prepare for that rainy day
The one I hope never comes your way
