Princess Patience

She holds on to her every dream The princess, there, behind thick stone T’was of her knight to come and free To build, with her, an ample home There she sits, at window, still Counting, praying, that he’ll soon show For thoughts of him give such a thrill Upon her face, her smiles grow Though lonely in imprisoned tower She waits for him, with love to bestow As night so comes and sun descends She still sits waiting, for her man With feelings strong, dare not pretend She keeps her hope, as much she can Her dreams, they never ever cease She feels that one day soon he’ll show With each day, her love increase To where it soon will overflow But, yet she waits for him to come The knight, with love, born long ago

Beautifully written Michael. Love the language and the sweet romance that flows through this piece. Upon her face her smile grows..terrific..great writing.
