On the arm of my armchair Grandma’s cat is lying there It often gives the mice a scare Gran herself now lies elsewhere So all you cats should be aware A cats life isn’t always fair She had it stuffed without a care Because I had no teddy bear 1 February 2022 Contest: Pride Of Place Sponsor: Julia Ward

Thanks, Jennifer. Don’t worry, it’s entirely fictional. I’ve had a number of cats, don’t think I ever had a teddy… but I definitely never substituted one for the other. Terry
