Pride Has No Say

Many words that are spoken outloud,
Can be the opposite of what's inside,
Sometimes we cannot see how the world affects us,
And the feelings we tend to hide,
So busy trying to be strong,
Watching what we do,
That trying becomes our focus,
That trying becomes our truth,
What if, for a moment, we admitted,
Beyond the perfectionist point of view,
That weakness was not a weakness at all,
That it's not always all about you,
It's when the walls come tumbling down,
It's when pride has no say to loves fate,
Admitting to the heart of what matters,
No mistake in opening the flood gate,
