pride

it it feels so proud, the wafting cloud
but what is it without the breeze
yet together they spoke out loud
that they could do just as they please

floating about in the vast sky
it feels so proud, the wafting cloud
but space remains whilst forms will die
so dark fears begin to enshroud

the mist cries to God, Who endowed
all forms manifest with His breath
it feels so proud, the wafting cloud
even though fleeting is its wealth

wake up hermit, pray and atone
shining as God’s light in a crowd
though it has no life of its own
it feels so proud, the wafting cloud
