Pride

An old lion limps, bones crumbling with each step. Hyenas must kill him. The once strong cannot remain to infirm the thriving. Antelope reflexively run from hair-triggering scents. A young pride hunts; death lives at ease with life. Fawns and calves are born into needy mouths. Windblown dust scatters scraps of sun-clawed pelts.
