Pride

there across the wind
rides my silly pride

at times a sturdy arrow
at times a butterfly

how often i chose to follow
the path of the sturdy arrow
its landing was hard to find

however, when i chose to try
the path of the butterfly
never, was i too far behind

I totally understand this piece. I can only pull off the arrow for a short amount of time then the butterfly sprouts wings. Laurie
