Priceless Gifts

This was inspired by this quote by
St. Theresa of Avila - March 28, 1515-October 4,1582
“God has no body on earth but yours....”

From your hands, a child somewhere is fed
Another desperate young father ‘saves face’,
In a world eager to judge others on unfamiliar paths
That only by God’s grace, our children have not yet trod.

From your smile a lonely soul may feel alive
And kind words thaw a frozen heart.
These are priceless gifts which all can give…
Gifts of light and love that cuts through the darkness
Like two thousand years ago, each day we can herald...
“Emmanuel”..,(God with us)!

Peace and love to every Souper and our families
Merry Christmas!!!

This is so beautiful, Annalise. St. Teresa of Avila is my Saint. I truly consider her as my friend. I have read so many of her writings, and other's writings on her life. I have never seen this quote by her, which inspired your soulful work. I love it!! Through you, she has once again touched my heart and soul. Thank you. Ellen <3

Great words, How True, So incredibly humbling. In me, in you, in all that can breath there is the body of 'God'; may we be more willing to smile and speak to all that we share a moment with, from family to the stranger on the street, in the precious minutes of our life - each and every day...

This is marvelous. I really like this as a Christmas poem. You should think of a similar quote from the Bible (charitable works or something) and enter it right away in john's contest!! Luv, Andrea (maybe it is already entered using that quote. If so, Bravo!)
