Priceless Gift

At the young age of four,
I was given a special bear.
I called my teddy bear Cindy,
I took Cindy with me everywhere.

Cindy filled me with joy.
She made me smile again.
I cuddled her day and night.
Cindy took away my pain.

A have a very special Uncle.
He is completely unaware,
Of the emotional healing that began,
When he gave me my Cindy bear.

Cindy had replaced Kittens Teddy,
Which was given to the girl next door.
Although young, I've never forgotten
You see I'd never felt hurt before.

It's now been 46 years,
Since I was given my special bear,
Although worn and weathered,
Cindy is still in my care.

Uncle Robert you are so special.
This poem is dedicated to you.
The gift you gave me of love,
It's unique and special, just like you.

Uncle Robert probably had no idea; what a kindness, and it meant so much. Maybe more because of your love for him. Sweet write my friend.
