Pressed Closely

in the highlight of, a distant sky- one filled with love
               simple thoughts of you, break through- sapphire blue
              the sun waits patiently- to slowly dip into the sea, for me 
                             as moments are pressed closely

Brandy, your lovely poem takes me back to 1983, at the Palmas Del Mar resort in Humacao, Puerto Rico. I arrived on a Sunday for a 3-day business meeting. My wife would fly in on Thursday. I sat for hours in an elevated lifeguard chair on the beach, keenly anticipating my wife’s arrival, watching the sun in the sapphire blue sky “dip into the (turquoise) sea.” This is a definite fav for me!
