Pre-Springing
Some seeds planted long ago
Some seed planted recently
Some seeds didn’t make it
Some seeds already blooming
Some seeds still germinating
How ironic the seeds in my life are following earth’s seasons
God upstairs has mastered both humor and rhyme
The pruning I did in the winter is paying off
What has died is being replaced with something sturdier
It feels like forever that the universe and I are in sync
Perhaps living in the dark all those years is paying off
I still have much to improve and I know no finish line
But I’ve finally found peace in waiting for my life’s new tree
I must go and pour more faith fertilizer on this new fief
