Presence

I am sitting on a chair.

a chair with the view of 
sky, ocean.

a chair that sits on 
an open hallway. 
that leads to where I 
forfeit money for rent 

the ocean,
I wonder what's underneath

I see more windows
than palm tree's.


the beer makes the 
paper warm,
the breeze as it should,

the ocean still,
as the allusion of 
time 


races.


I sit back,
swig and gaze

I am paused
