Prelude To Somnolence

Crust critters sew shut my eyelids
I struggle to remember my what-should-I-do-and-did’s
But I can’t crawl out or from under the sheet
The mattress sighs then , caresses my feet
If my ears dare not deceive me, then perhaps it is my head.
“Shh…dear, why don’t you just come back to bed?”
And I lay me down among the pussy willow,
Just a foolish girl in love with her pillow

Your moods are so casual in their poetic severity AE. Pussywillow pillow sounds so good! Bed Bath and Beyond could make money on that. A foolish girl is better than a cold girl. I like your therapy poetry. J.A.B.
