Prelude To a Vampire's Kiss
Death upon these lips
Colder than the wintry moonless night
But, warmer than the she devil’s soulless kiss
And life’s fog that once lingered about
Now begins its lift
Visions spiral lucid
Suckle tastes begin to taint my breath
And a faceless angel beguiles
With arms outstretched
Veiling horns and tails within the mist
I’m the sacrificial wrapping lamb to gift
Of the dragon lady smoking in a shadowed dress
Undeath shackles upon undue matron
As chains far out reach for this very soul
Adjoining the undead unto the unlove’s fold
This here and now moments gone to all too short
And time quickly runs out of me
When a heart bleed ends
From echoes of the last blood drops
And final freedom befriends, new found love
In matrimony of immortality
