Notes About The Poem

Pregnant Woman

She’s our gatekeeper, our portal, our spiritual door,
Connecting our souls to the earth,
And she bridges our fire from the bosom of love
Every time her belly gives birth.

Inside her warm womb our souls fuse to our body
Together for the rest of our life,
And we begin our long journey, with our soul in our skin,
Once the doc cuts the cord with a knife.

She’s the sculpting composer, greatest magician of all,
Creating someone from nothing, like art.
She’s our portal of life taking our souls from the heavens
And joining them up to our heart.
