Predicting the Future
"I wish I could predict the future,
For there would be less anxiety to endure
As you would know the outcome,
Of that which was most worrisome
You could change some events,
So the outcome always made sense
The problem with this,
Always wanting your wish
Is that you would always be changing,
The outcome you were making
Punch,
Counter punch
So in the end nothing you wanted to see,
Turned out to be
Perhaps this is why God gave us faith,
To endure the wait
Say a prayer or two,
To get us through
Those difficult times,
Or a mountain climbed
So we are in a happier space,
To accept the results of “our” race
For we are stronger than we know,
To persevere through the challenges below
So rise up and achieve on your own,
The future you want known
For there can be no prediction,
Only personal dedication
That the road you are on is true,
And belief God chose this path for you"
