This poem is a metaphor about my children in the meaning of their names and of their parent and grandmother. My older children taught my youngest daughter who they adored. It is also about the appreciation and wisdom they have learned from their grandmother. It is about their connection to this wonderful earth.
Precious Descendants
Oh white wave
Mistress of the sea,
And you, bright fame
Of the island;
Together you teach
The one who is like God;
A heavenly flower
That blooms with your touch.
Protected under the
Wings of constancy
Rejoice, for your
Grandmother is a Pearl;
Cloaked in iridescent white,
Layers upon layers,
She shines in her
Wealth of wisdom.
