Precious Breaking Dawn
Sapphire skies framed in vermillion
mirrored amber-glow are
a self portrait of Gaia.
Cast upon the aqua,
sun echoes its rays
among the sipping greenery.
A taste of the season
issues forth upon the shores,
its offspring in tones of lavender,
white, red, yellow and pink bespeaks
of the transformation of seedlings.
Liquid shadows whisper instructions
to the fauna to come drink of the bounty.
I cast my sacred song to the four directions,
thankful for the many gifts bestowed.
