Precarious

When mother exploded me into earth
I had all the features of an angel
the innocence of the saints in heaven
and the quietness of cool sea breeze

today after society has kissed me
and tongs of fire burned by tongue
the grits in their harshness hit my toes
prison space is often booked in time

I have seen controversies at my door
the society that received me in joy
and celebrates your birth day in peace
has driven me ashore- precarious!

Living in human society is chimera
pound of flesh you give in happy times
counts little when dark blanket descends
hyenas watch for time to pick the spoils

You die or you live the world clock
goes on blind of your once existence
