I pray for you, but I’m just not sure
When you say you’ve changed,
Does it mean anything? When you reveal
Your heart – is it something dark
Or is it something blue, tender and true
I just can’t be sure about you… You’re someone
Who is rich in His blessings, someone
Who is loved, adored, accepted
Yet you neglect the truth, reject the hope
That comes to those who know, through faith
Through obedience to His ways…
There is grace – the sweet, sweet grace
That makes a way, gives a second chance
I pray for you, but I’m just so unsure…
When you say you’re growing, rising above
The darkness and fear, the worries and tears
- There is something quite clear
Your heart is good, I can feel that –
But, through the despair, when you say
I care… is there really truth there
Is there really any truth there? Or, is there…
Just the silent prayer that someday you will care!
I pray for you – for your best, for everything good
For the blessings that come from the hope
Found in the One who knows you more deeply,
More assuredly, more keenly than anyone on this earth
He is the Father – He is the light – He is the love
That makes a way for me to sincerely say – I love you
And, I know – despite the darkest addiction,
There is hope for eternity with Him, the only One
Who can make a way for everlasting love – and peace within
I pray – pray – pray… for this peace that changes things,
Peace that comes to the heart who believes He is who He says He is
And, through Him… there is a grace that changes things!
Through grace… He can make the addiction leave
the heart with assurance that, through Him – there is peace!
