Prayer Works

Prayer Works

When you feel down trodden and you don’t know what to do,
Just look to the sky and thank God for another day of life.
Each day that you wake up, is a new chance to get it right,
Let the fears and tears of yesterday, bounce off your armored breast plate.
There’s no shame in taking a knee, in the quiet of your own space,
It takes but a moment, to bow your head and pray.
God’s Omni presence is always there, waiting to bestow his grace,
Upon those who seek Him from their hearts, at any time or place.
To those who choose not to believe, I challenge you today,
Just take a minute from your busy day, be silent, and let Us pray.

Lord, I thank you for the gift of life
And for waking me up today,
For giving me the strength to carry on,
As I travel on my way.
I pray for your mercy, I pray for your grace,
I pray for worldly peace,
And all our daily strife.
Amen

Beautifully written. We need to pray more. We have a lack of prayer warriors in the world. Very inspiring poem. Well done on a great piece.
